Future Nursing Scholarship

The Future Nursing scholarship is a Nursing led scholarships, fellowships and professional development programme designed to enable Nigerian Nurses to study and develop themselves as future nurse leaders in Nigeria, whilst joining a global community of health professionals creating positive change in Nigeria

Why Future Nursing Scholarship was Established

The Future Nursing Scholarship was established in response to the global need to invest in supporting increased supply of “new nurses”, both to meet growing and changing demand created by the pandemic, and because of reduced supply (retention) of the current nursing workforce.

Who are the Scholarship opened to?

Our scholarships are open to Nigerian nurses and midwives who are seeking to advance their professional development in Nursing. Nurses and midwives registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMCN) are eligible to apply for our partially funded scholarships.

We launched the Future Nursing Scholarship in Nigeria as a pivotal program of the Future Nursing Leadership Program, initiative of NCO Healthcare Consulting Ltd to provide professional development and academic support to Nursing students taking undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Nigerian Universities, Colleges and Schools of Nursing.

The scholarship has provided funding to 6 students with new applications open from 19th December, 2023 to support 1-10 more students for the second 2023 Cohort.
