I’m thrilled to share my experience in reading this wonderful book “New, Not a Novice Nurse” by the brilliant Olayinka Aremu, a must-read guide for internationally educated nurses seeking to thrive in their nursing careers abroad!
I have been following Olayinka Aremu for some time on LinkedIn now and when I saw the advert before the book was launched, I knew this book was for me. I had left the shores of Nigeria for the United Kingdom more than a year ago now. I went through a lot of challenges, which to the glory of God I have been overcoming. At some points I felt like I shouldn’t have left my comfort zone back in Nigeria but with resilience, willingness to adapt and learn things have started ‘normalizing’. I have crossed the milestone of a year in the ‘YouKay’ now☺️. When I went through the advert of the book: New, not a novice nurse; I decided to use it to mark this milestone and I ordered the book from Dr Olayinka Aremu. I boldly made an hopeful request for her to put her autograph on the book and ‘Oh My God!’, she did! I am really grateful for this amazing gesture Olayinka Aremu. I picked up the boll and was hooked until I got to the last page of the book. It was engaging, informative and I related to most of the experiences in the book. I also learnt many insights to thrive as a nursing professional abroad.
Whether you’re embarking on a new chapter in a foreign country or adjusting to a new healthcare system, this book is your ultimate roadmap. Olayinka’s expertise as a seasoned nurse and her wealth of experience offer practical tips, insightful advice, and empowering stories to help you:

✅ Navigate cultural differences with confidence
✅ Master the healthcare system in your new country
✅ Build a successful nursing career abroad

🌍 If you’re a nurse looking to make a lasting impact in an international setting, this guide will give you the knowledge and encouragement to excel and turn your challenges into stepping stones.

Get ready to transition from “new” to thriving with “New, Not a Novice Nurse”—the essential companion for every internationally educated nurse! Thank you Olayinka Aremu for impacting me and other nurses through this amazing book. I appreciate the autograph to mark my milestone celebration so much! Above all, I thank God for the journey so far. Naija to the world 🌍
